Organic Indoor Gardening

Organic gardening is an exciting activity that will help you raise your own 100% natural plants and vegetables.  But what if you don’t have enough space or even a backyard to start with?  Enter the world of organic indoor gardening.

Organic indoor gardening covers a series of techniques that you need to use in order to help your plants grow naturally and healthy inside your house.

The most important thing to remember is that plants indoors need to be taken care just as much as plant on the backyard.  It is strange to see how a lot of people who keep an organic garden, treat their indoor plants with synthetic products. Probably this started with the misconception that potted plants need more fertilizer to grow.

Synthetic products for plants contain ammonium phosphate.  This ingredient is supposed to keep plants green, but at the same time it can burn our plant by raising the acidity on the soil, it can also irritate the respiratory system and produce skin reactions.

Another factor that you need to keep in mind when considering organic indoor gardening, is the amount of watering needed for the plant. Potted plants need a higher amount of water than plants in the garden, so be sure you take care of them more often.

To start with organic indoor gardening you’ll need pretty much the same things: quality soil, seeds, and organic plant food. You can start growing your plants in pots made of ceramic, wood, or plastic, although I prefer to stay away if possible from plastic.

Remember that your goal with organic indoor gardening is to create a natural and healthy environment for your houseplants.
